Katherine has worked as a Layout Artist, Illustrator, Designer and/or Art Director for numerous art studios and advertising agencies in Minneapolis, Minnesota; Chicago, Illinois; Wichita, Kansas; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area; Wilmington, Delaware; Seattle and Bellevue, Washingto; San Francisco, Callifornia and Portland, Oregon. She was also proprietor of her own art businesses, Skyline Studio in Minneapolis and A'la Carte Advertising/Art in Bellevue, Washington.


Upon retiring, she and her husband moved to a rural area in the mountains of Pennsylvania, where she turned her talents exclusively to Fine Arts. Since her husband was in poor health and they lived several miles from a hospital, they returned to Oregon in 1993 and she is presently living in Hillsboro, Oregon.



Since 1987, Katherine has received the following awards in juried shows: Best of Show (21) Merit Award (12) 1st Place (40) Honorable Mention (20) 2nd Place (29) Award of Excellence (18) 3rd Place (14) Award of Achievement (2)



In 1992 she was awarded Signature Membership in Miniature Artists of America. Katherine has a painting in the Signature Members Traveling Exhibit. She had two paintings in the 1st World Federation Exhibit held at the Westminister Gallery in London, England in conjunction with the 100th Anniversary of the Royal Miniature Society and had two paintings accepted for the 2nd World Exhibition held in September, 2000, in Hobart Tasmania. Five of her miniature paintings were included in the 3rd World Federation Miniature Exhibit held at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C.



She has been elected Associate Member of the Miniature Painters, Engravers & Sculptures of Washington, D. C. She is also a Signature Member of the Miniature Artists of Florida and Cider Painters of America.


Katherine is a Member of the National Colored Pencil Society, Painters Showcase, Local Colour.



At the present time her paintings may be seen at Portland Art Museum Rental Gallery and at Sequoia Gallery and Studios in Hillsboro, Oregon and in private collections in the USA and Canada. Her biography has been included in Who's Who in America Editions for the past 10 years. She has also, at various times, had her biography included in Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in American Women and Who's Who in the West.
